The Chicago Bears may have some “character issues” with Tight End Evan Rodriguez. You know, once is an accident. Twice is coincidence. Three times is a trend. And now a fourth run-in with the law? Ladies and gentlement Evan Rodriguez.
This is altercation number four for the 27 overall in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears.
Evan Rodriguez has a felony assault charge, which eventually was reduced to a misdemeanor disturbance and trespassing charge after he allegedly beat a female residence hall advisor during his time at West Virginia.
He finished his college football career at Temple; where was later arrested for disorderly conduct in April 2009.
On March 21, 2013, Evan Rodriguez was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida for disorderly intoxication and resisting police.
And today, we learned of his DUI charges. According to ABC 7:
Evan Rodriguez was arrested early this morning for driving under the influence, according to Illinois State Police. Officials say Rodriguez was stopped on the Kennedy expressway around 3:30 a.m. Friday morning. He was charged with DUI, speeding and improper lane usage.
The Chicago Bears on Evan Rodriguez being arrested for drunk driving: “We are aware of the reports regarding Evan Rodriguez. We are currently gathering information to learn more about the circumstances surrounding the situation.”
