According to NOLA.com, former New Orleans Saints safety Darren Sharper has been arrested in Los Angeles on felony rape charges. The eye-popping report on the NFL Network analyst cites the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Darren Sharper was arrested on suspicion of rape according to TMZ.com, who first reported the scandalous storyline. It should be noted that Darren Sharper has also been linked to sexual assaults in Oct. 2013 and Jan. 2013.
Sharper played in the NFL for 14 seasons, eight with the Green Bay Packers and four with the Minnesota Vikings. He was arrested yesterday and booked into an L.A. County lockup. He was later eleased on a $200,000 bond. Darren Sharper was a two-time All-Pro, five time Pro Bowler and was named to the NFL 2000’s All-Decade Team. However, he’s facing some serious charges now, and he’s suspected of committing a very heinous crime.
No comment yet from the Darren Sharper camp. The NFL Network moved extremely swiftly on this. They suspended Sharper without pay already.
