Danny Shelton to the Chicago Bears at #7? I guess that makes sense. We did have Shelton mocked to Chicago at one point. Here’s who we have projected to the Bears right now, in our latest NFL mock draft
Joining me to discuss this topic is 750 The Game Portland Program Director and Afternoon host Mike Ragz. He’s on 5-9pm Central, 3-7 Pacific on weekdays (follow him on Twitter @ragzthegame) drops by to talk Marcus Mariota and a host of NFL Draft topics.
Have a listen below:
Obviously, this is a special and unique draft for the Chicago Bears as a new regime will calling the shots on this one. 2015 brings a new head coach in John Fox and a new general manager in Ryan Pace. This leadership tandem is a fusion of new and old school.
“When you talk about Fox going forward, you’ve got to get that defense turned around, and he’s been the turnaround artist,”ESPN’s Adam Schefter said. “He’s turned around a team in Carolina, in Denver, and they’re counting on him doing the same in Chicago.”
Fox Sports Peter Schrager says the Bears need wide receivers, as outlined in the video below. You can definitely make a case for that too:
When Fox takes over a reclamation project, the first thing he usually drafts is pass rusher. He did that during his first two regimes. This is a very loaded class of pass rushers. Dante Fowler will certainly be gone by #7; likewise with Leonard Williams, could be the best overall player in this class, so it’s not likely he’ll still be there.
Perhaps Danny Shelton, Vic Beasley, Bud Dupree
