Alando Tucker was a 2007 NBA Draft first round pick. Last night, he was the 2nd overall pick in the NBA D League draft. If you haven’t heard of the NBDL draft, it’s understandable, I didn’t either until yesterday.
It’s funny how much more interesting a draft it becomes when you have a lockout.
Back to Tucker, after playing a few years in the league with Phoenix Suns and overseas, the all-time leading scorer in Wisconsin Badgers history is trying to re-locate his game. In the meantime, he’s been heavy in the rap game.
I didn’t know Lockport, IL was so “street.” See the Lockport Porters (that’s really their name I didn’t make that up) are in my former high school conference, and Tucker played his h.s. ball there. It’s not exactly “hood,” but Alando is rhyming about his hood upbringing. Something doesn’t add up in the SICA, but then again maybe I’m missing something?
