Joakim Noah is the perfect player for Chicago Bulls Coach Tom Thibodeau. Both of these men have a non-stop desire for the game of basketball. They’re both intensely competitive and value winning above almost anything else. Sure, the Center position is slowly going extinct, but Joakim Noah has developed into one of the better players to man the position. Noah’s fiery competitiveness has made him an All Star.
And Joakim’s fiery competitiveness also got in major trouble last night.
During an ugly Bulls loss to the Sacramento Kings last night, Joakim Noah got hit with his second technical in the third quarter, and lost it. He pulled a fast food worker guy quitting his job in the 1998 film “Half-Baked” on the officiating crew by dropping a personal F-bomb on each referee before leaving the court.
Joakim Noah later apologized for flying off the handle after the game.
“I shouldn’t have acted that way. I apologize, I’m sorry to all three of the referees out there. They’re trying to do their jobs. … I hope they accept my apology and I hope we can move on from this.”
