The Chicago Bulls won’t make a big splash in free agency this summer; they just don’t have the salary cap room. They did sign Mike Dunleavy Jr. from the Milwaukee Bucks and they re-upped on Nazr Mohammed.
Today the veteran center Nazr Mohammed who played his college basketball with the Kentucky Wildcats tweeted today that he has verbally agreed to return to the Chicago Bulls. He can officially sign until July 10th.
Thanks for all the support and well wishes about me returning to the Bulls. Not enough time to RT or reply to them all #SeeRed #BullsNation
— Nazr Mohammed (@NazrMohammed) July 2, 2013
Nazr Mohammed only averaged 2.6 points and 3.1 rebounds last season playing behind Joakim Noah. So if you’re not excited about this news, I understand. No reason to set off fireworks for this one! Save those fireworks for Thursday anyway.
Probably the most memorable thing Nazr Mohammed did this past season was throw LeBron James to the floor in the Eastern Conference semis. He was then ejected. Probably worth it though.
