Tampa Bay Rays Game Features Avril Lavigne Concert, F-Bombs!

Canadian hottie and pop star songstress had an “off night” at the Tampa Bays game versus the Cleveland Indians last night. It all began glowingly when she threw out the first pitch before the game; she was all smiles and it was great PR for the MLB demogrpahic.

But then there were acoustic issues and the crowd couldn’t hear the start of her post-game concert.  A technical glitch messed up Avril’s mic A cavalcade of boos reigned down. She responded by by yelling obscenities, which the microphone now picked up loud and clear.

However, these f-bomb were not aimed directly at the crowd, just made out of frustration. “Why’d you have to go and make things so complicated? Acting like your somebody else only gets me frustrated.”

The Rays released a statement.  “The Rays demand profanity-free performances from all of our concert performers and we are extremely disappointed by the language used in last night’s show. It is not consistent with the family-friendly atmosphere that Tropicana Field is known for.”

  1. I love how the Rays threw out a fan because he was wearing a ‘Yankees Suck’ shirt that would be seen by a few people in the ballpark. Then, the performer uses profanity for the whole stadium to hear and they let her finish the show. Your principles are screwed up Rays!
