Rafer Weigel of ABC 7 Chicago was gracious enough to join me from Los Angeles on The Sports Bank Podcast while he’s covering the Blackhawks in the Western Conference Finals. And on the day that that Theo Epstein signed Manny Ramirez to be a player/coach with the Chicago Cubs AAA affiliate.

Lots of Cubs news to cover now: Manny, the Wrigley Field renovations, the war with the rooftops re-starting. Hard-hitting Cubs stuff, there’s actual news to be discussed with this team now.

The conversation with Rafer Weigel shifts from Blackhawks playoffs to Cubs stuff around the 22:50 mark.

Follow Rafer Weigel on Twitter here. He Tweets out a lot of good photos, like this one below of Cubs legend (and now My Facebook friend yey!) Ryne Sandberg. As an added bonus, CSN’s Kelly Crull is visible in the background. And WordPress tells me that Google likes pictures of Kelly Crull.

Phillies Ryne Sandberg said when he was w/ #Cubs “Every year I played here I thought it was our year. I really did.” pic.twitter.com/fr4fj5xrav
