What was your favorite memory of the David Moyes era at Manchester United? Are you drawing a blank?

That’s understandable; as his almost one whole season in charge was an absolute train wreck. He’s since flamed out at Real Sociedad and he’s now the boss at Sunderland. Moyes is hoping to include Red Devils Marouane Fellaini and Adnan Januzaj in his rebuilding plans.

Could a mini 2013-14 United reunion be in the works?

“If any of those good players want to join me I’d be happy to have them,” David Moyes said as he answered a query at his very first Sunderland press conference.

“They’re excellent players. We’re interested, but I’m sure there’s a load of other clubs that are as well.”

“We’re interested in lots of good players,” he said. “You have to have a realistic view. There’ll be some players we can attract just now and some players we can’t.

“We’ll try and get the ones we can and the ones who want to come here and start on the new journey we’re on.

“We have offers in for people already and we’re working hard. I’ve been really impressed by the new chief executive [Martin Bain].”

Of the two wingers, it would appear that Januzaj is the one who is much more attainable. He likely could be out the Old Trafford door, while there are no indications as of now that Fellaini will be jettisoned.

Sunderland and United will meet for the first time this season on Boxing Day.
