Javier Hernandez has been burning up the Bundesliga this season with Bayern Munich, and the football world has taken notice. Chicharito was a misfit for all of the Louis van Gaal era, but he’s regained both form and confidence in the German top flight. Chicharito has never looked better, and been more productive, and his blistering scoring pace has coincided with United scoring issues, and the club’s decline.

Update according to ESPN FC-

“reports in Spain say that Gunners star Alexis Sanchez has pleaded with Arsene Wenger to bring the forward (Chicharito) back to the Premier League.”

Hernandez finally found first team football, and that’s led to the striker hitting his stride again. According to the Sunday edition of the Daily Star, Arsenal are interested in Chicharito, and the 27-year-old striker may want another chance at the English top flight.

The paper writes:

Sources close to the player – nicknamed Chicharito or Little Pea – suggest that he would like another crack at the Premier League and this has alerted Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal, who are seeking cover for France forward Olivier Giroud.

Hernandez spent last season on loan with Real Madrid but was told by Van Gaal upon his return to Old Trafford that he had “only one per cent chance” of playing for him. What a disastrous decision that has turned to be for United!

As for Arsenal, they had just established themselves as the new Premier League title favorite this week. All the bookmakers ascribed the north London side the best title odds. So what happens? They get destroyed 4-0 by Southampton today in a result that could have easily been 5-0 or 6-0. How Gunners under Arsene Wenger of them.

After the match, Wenger essentially blamed three of the four goals against him on the officiating.

You can see why they might want more scoring, and why Wenger might see Chicharito as the answer.
