The NHL has canceled every game through November 30th because of the labor strife between owners and players. No progress has been made.
The league made the announcement on Friday in a brief statement.
It said that a total of 326 regular-season games, more than 26.5 percent of the season, were scheduled for Oct. 11 through Nov. 30.
Now it puts the Winter Classic in real jeopardy of being cancelled. The Detroit Red Wings will host it at Michigan Stadium, home of the Wolverines on January 1.
