My sleeper team this NHL hockey season has to be the Buffalo Sabres. After finishing with 45 wins, 27 losses and 10 ties last season, the Sabres will be adding 20 year old prodigy, Left Winger Tyler Ennis for a full season. Ennis made a brief appearance late last season and should only improve this year. The only question will be his durability; being that he is only 5’9″ and weighs in at 163 pounds. He’ll be aided by the play making of Center Derek Roy, who not only sets up goal scoring opportunities, but can score by himself as well. It’ll be interesting to see how that line functions as a unit as Roy is also relatively small at 5’9″ and a 188 pounds. Will the speed of those two players be enough to overcome the sizable defense men that most teams employ? Or will the physicality of those same defensive players negate their speed? That’s probably the main reason why I’ll be checking out this team on direct tv deals offer in high definition.

Rounding out the roster on the back end will be goalie Ryan Miller and the Sabres own defense man, veteran defender Steve Montador. The Sabres also have one of the longest tenured head coaches in sports with Lindy Huff, who is steering the Sabres for the 13th year in a row.
