The Hammers and The Toffees clash on Merseyside in a clash that sees 16th take on 18th. Neither side can claim to be happy with the beginning of their 2022/23 campaigns. Everton has made some defensive improvement but has not been able to turn that into anything tangible just yet. All they have to show for it is zero victories and four straight draws.
West Ham has not recruited well and looks in real strife this season. The distraction of Europe has been a death knell for Premier League status in the past, and The Hammers will want to fight to the bitter end to avoid that.
Interestingly, West Ham has won their last two EPL away games against Everton 1-0. They have never enjoyed three consecutive victories at Goodison Park.

Starting XI Prediction
I am going for a full-strength West Ham lineup in this one. After the unexpected weekend off last weekend, two games in three days might not be a problem for The Hammers first choice stars. Tomas Soucek will likely sit out the Europa conference league fixture against Danish side Silkeborg, but I am tipping him to be fit for this one.
Here is how I see West Ham lining up versus the Toffees.
GK: Fabianski
DEF: Coufal, Kehrer, Dawson, Cresswell
MID: Soucek, Rice, Lanzini
ATT: Benrahma, Scamacca, Cornet
Match Prediction
If you read the accompanying team news write-up for this match, you’ll know I am a little conflicted regarding what is going to happen in this one. These are two of the worst sides in the league, maybe the two worst outside of the newly promoted clubs. I do not have high hopes for this game. I see it being a snooze fest.
Draw 0-0
