Belgian defender Toby Alderweireld, 26, has obviously had a very tough week. The tragedy in Brussels affected all of us worldwide, and the Tottenham Hotspur central defender posted a message in response to the Belgium terrorist attacks on his social media.
On the pitch, Alderweireld joined Spurs from Southampton in a manner that caused some controversy, after he completed a loan spell at Atletico Madrid.
He’s currently having a dream experience at White Hart Lane with Spurs having arguably their best season since 1961. He also has two very lovable little puppies that he showcased on Instagram. They’re tiny and just utterly precious. Have a look:
Much like most of the canine loving world, we’re getting into the spirit of National Puppy Day #NationalPuppyDay on Wednesday. Hence we re-posted this photo Alderweireld published in 2013. You also need to see this picture of Erik Lamela’s dog; he dressed him up in a Tottenham kit!
And to answer your question, yes, this is what we publish on international break when there’s almost no actual football news of genuine interest to discuss.
