Former NBA MVP and soon to be retiring superstar Steve Nash joined Tottenham Hotspur during their training in Toronto. It was the day before Spurs defeated Toronto FC 3-2 in an international friendly. Nash grew up in the west coast of Canada wanting to play professional soccer as a child. That sport, not basketball, was actually the first love of the current Los Angeles Lakers point guard.
His father and grandfather were both from Tottenham, so being a true Spurs supporter runs deep in his bloodlines.

Here’s another video involving Steve Nash and soccer. Enjoy the trash talk in this video where Nash takes on USWNT goalkeeper and disgraced former national hero Hope Solo in the FIFA video game. Of course, Solo choose here hometown team: Seattle Sounders and Nash took his native British Columbia’s institution: the Vancouver Whitecaps.
Steve Nash is still a well respected public figure. Hope Solo obviously is not. Nor should she be. This is why. Here too.
