Next season, Mousa Dembele could be plying his trade very far away from Tottenham Hotspur. According to two French outlets, RMC Sport and France Football, the north London club has “an agreement in principle” to send the Belgian international to an as of now still unnamed Chinese club.
Reportedly, the agreed upon fee is £30 million (34 million Euro, $40 million) for “Moose.”
According to the reports, it’s up to Dembele if he wants to make the switch or not, and this decision will be made once his World Cup tour of duty with Belgium is over.
The RMC report mentions that White Hart Lane would prefer to sell Dembele, whose contract expires next June, over signing him to a new contract extension due to his age. It appears that this will be the last big contract for the 30-year-old Dembele, who is also reportedly being targeted by Juventus, Napoli, and Inter Milan.
So it looks like he will be leaving the Premier League for either Serie A or the Chinese Super League.
