Lots of Southampton FC news to cover today, with quite a few developments occurring within the past few hours. Let’s dive right in with that hurried third kit reveal. Saints will head to AFC Bournemouth on Sunday, and given how their opponents also sport red stripes on their shirts, Southampton had to hurry up and unveil their new third kit today, so it was in advance of the weekend fixture.

You can’t have a very confusing color clash going on during the game, right?!

Right.

#SaintsFC will wear a brand new @UnderArmour third kit for Sunday's clash with #AFCB. Read more here: https://t.co/lLab0wmrLf

Next we move to the announcement of contract extensions for two players. The St. Mary’s outfit sent out a press release sating that: “Academy graduate Jake Hesketh has signed a new four-and-a-half-year contract.

Hesketh’s new deal, which will run until 2021, sees him extend his commitment to the club he has been at since the age of eight.

The 20 year-old, who made his Saints debut in December 2014, is currently working his way back from an injury suffered in October.”
