Newcastle Starting XI Prediction vs Manchester City

The last thing Newcastle United need right now is to play Manchester City. The Geordies have been in free fall for awhile now, and when it comes to a “get right game,” the least likely opponent for that is the reigning treble winners.

While City have shown, especially lately, that they’re vulnerable (at times) this season, getting a draw against them still feels like a victory for most opposition. For the men of Eddie Howe, getting a stalemate here would have to feel like a victory.

Or maybe not, as they could be riding a positive wave of emotion from having finally just broken their Tyne-Wear derby losing streak. There is nothing like vanquishing an arch-rival to get spirits up.
