Romelu Lukaku Lists Juventus Players United Should Be Concerned with Beyond Ronaldo

By some global power rankings, Juventus is the best team on Earth right now. While Cristiano Ronaldo is obviously the headliner, the Italian powerhouse has so much more beyond him and Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku is well aware of that.

The serious issues that surround Ronaldo off the pitch, the criminal allegations being made against him, obviously overshadow anything related to football at this point. It hasn’t slowed down Ronaldo on the pitch though, as he’s still scoring goals for the Serie A juggernaut.

United and Juve will meet in UEFA Champions League group stage competition in just nine days, and Lukaku listed the three players, including Ronaldo, which should concern United.

“Juve have a great project in place and they just keep going. Every year they try to get stronger,” Lukaku told La Gazzetta dello Sport (transcript Daily Mirror).

“Without doubt, Juve are one of the two-three best teams in Europe. They’ve got a great coach on the bench and extraordinary players in every area of the team. Cristiano Ronaldo stands out, but watch out for the others too. Paulo Dybala is already impressive and getting stronger, while I love Douglas Costa.”

“He’s an exceptional signing and his career shows he always makes the difference.”

Juventus have won both of their UCL Group H games while United have one win and one draw. Both sides look likely to go through to the knockout round as Juve sit atop the group with six points while United are second with four. Additionally, Juventus have won all eight of their Serie A fixtures so far this season.

“It’s a tough group, but obviously Manchester United want to finish on top,” Lukaku added.
