Manchester United obviously have a an enviable problem up front, by having too many world class strikers (Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Radamel Falcao). However, it doesn’t really work out that way in the real world. Wayne Rooney missed games due to red card (including the big Chelsea tilt). Van Persie missed the opener due to fitness issues. Falcao missed the huge Manchester Derby because of injury.
In other words, what seems like a pleasant luxury can turn into a practical need quickly. But could Van Persie be on the move, ready to deplete the United strike force?
According to the Daily Star, “Turkish club Fenerbahce have enquired about the possibility of signing Manchester United striker Robin van Persie.” Another outlet has picked up on the story too:
