Paul Pogba Slammed for Poor Performance, Controversial Play vs Bristol

Paul Pogba is undefeated in the last 41 Premier League matches that he has played in, but his team just dropped a League Cup decision in which he started. Bristol City just became the second ever lower division side to beat four top flight teams in the same League Cup competition, with their 2-1 quarterfinal home win over United tonight.

United and Bristol City have met 36 times, with United winning 15. The most high-profile clash between these two sides was the 1909 FA Cup final…until tonight, as this upset was one for the ages.

Paul Pogba is as valuable to his team as any player in the Premier League. He’s what makes United go, and he’s been extremely dominant at times this season.

However, tonight was not one of those times, as he essentially got bossed by a championship side, and may have even dived. After falling behind 1-0 to Bristol, Zlatan Ibrahimovic would equalize in the 58′, on a free kick set up by a very controversial call of a foul on Paul Pogba.

Is this a legitimate call, or was Pogba flopping? Here are a few views for you to look at and decide:

Pogba didn’t have his best game that’s for sure, and it led to many on social media engaging in schadenfreude. Here are some of the more entertaining tweets on this topic that we saw:
