Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Officially Named Permanent Man United Manager

Goodbye Mauricio Pochettino and Max Allegri speculation! Hello to Manchester United football club doing the right and obvious thing, as they officially named Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the full-time, permanent manager.

It’s what he wants, what his former club Molde wants, what the players want and spoken up for; it’s an obvious decision and win-win-win all around. Why bother to delay the inevitable?

Ole’s at the wheel! We can confirm that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been appointed as #MUFC manager.

“From the first day I arrived, I felt at home at this special club,” reads a statement form Solskjaer on the club web portal.

“It was an honour to be a Manchester United player, and then to start my coaching career here. The last few months have been a fantastic experience and I want to thank all of the coaches, players and staff for the work we’ve done so far. This is the job that I always dreamed of doing and I’m beyond excited to have the chance to lead the club long-term and hopefully deliver the continued success that our amazing fans deserve.”

The tweet from the club’s official Twitter account has 49,000 re-tweets and and 102,000 likes within the first six hours that it has been live.

Solskjaer will manage United for the first time, with the “interim” label removed on Saturday when the club hosts Watford. Here below are the FYIs for the league fixture:
