New Manchester United signing Diogo Dalot, who the club reportedly paid £17.4 million to acquire, was been spotted on crutches yesterday. The Daily Mail snapped a photo of the Portugese international walking on crutches at an event in Manchester last night (see below).
He was also seen on the touchline at Old Trafford with crutches during the Soccer Aid charity event. Dalot signed with United and passed his medical just last week. The young defender is currently recovering from knee surgery, after his 2017-18 season with FC Porto ended early due to injury.

However, the Daily Mirror reports that Dalot “is expected to be fit in time for United’s pre-season on July 15, with Jose Mourinho’s men travelling to the United States.”
Dalot is United’s second signing of the summer. Their first, midfielder Fred, is also dealing with fitness issues. Fred suffered an ankle issue during a training session with Brazil last week, and sat out his country’s final World Cup warm up yesterday. However, his injury is not regarded to be serious.
