Mesut Ozil to Manchester United is the big, juicy transfer rumor making the rounds today. This isn’t the first time either. It’s a Sunday with just one game Premier League game on the schedule (Brighton and Hove Albion beat Newcastle United 1-0), so it’s transfer rumors that are receiving all the attention instead.
As you might have heard, over and over again, Ozil is out of contract at Arsenal when this season ends, and the Sunday edition of the Daily Mirror says he wants out, with Old Trafford able to snatch him up on a free transfer.
It would be a chance for the very decorated German midfielder to reunite with manager Jose Mourinho, who was his boss when both were at Real Madrid together.
Sunday Mirror Sport “can reveal that Ozils advisors have put out feelers over a potential move to Manchester United and the feedback has been encouraging.”
The Mirror’s report has been picked up by numerous outlets all over the world, including the Express, Metro, The Sun, ESPN FC, The Express, Daily Post Nigeria among many others. There’s been a lot of tension at Arsenal this season, as the team has struggled. Much of that tension has centered around Mesut Ozil, who has got into a war of words with Gunners club legends over the last international break.
Perhaps he would find better harmony at another club.
