Having already secured qualification for the 2020 European Championships, England headed to Kosovo for a qualifying match today that they could approach very lax and free. The playing with house money frame of mind certainly worked, as they whipped Kosovo 4-0, and secured a spot among the field’s top six seed.

Two United players made major contributions in this one as forward Marcus Rashford came on in the 59′ for Callum Hudson-Odoi and scored in the 83′. Central defender Harry Maguire started and played the whole game.

Three Lions won Group A, having accumulated with 21 points, with the only mistake being October’s 2-1 loss at to the Czech Republic.

Finally, holding midfielder Nemanja Matic was essentially Jose Mourinho’s manager on the pitch while the two were together at United. The pair had a great working relationship at Chelsea as well. Nowadays, Matic isn’t in the picture though, as he’s essentially frozen out under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
