The halftime score in this weekend’s blockbuster Premier League fixture is Manchester United 1, Arsenal 0. The lone score came in the 16th minute as Alexis Sanchez’s header bounced off the post and Paul Pogba was perfectly placed to convert from very close range.
Pogba now has three goals and three assists in games against the big six this season. (go here for volume two of our Arsenal-United news and notes)

-Additionally, Pogba said ahead of this match that he is very happy at United under Jose Mourinho.
-Arsene Wenger, in his final trip to Old Trafford, heavily rotated his squad ahead of Thursday’s trip to Atletico Madrid for the second leg of their UEFA Europa League semifinal tie. Granit Xhaka was handed the captaincy of a Gunners side filled with kids and reserves. Wenger left Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere out of the squad entirely.
January signing Konstantinos Mavropanos had not made a single appearance until today, but the 20 year old was surprisingly handed a first team assignment. He was joined in the starting XI alongside fellow youngsters Ainsley Maitland-Niles, 20 and Reiss Nelson, 18.
Xhaka had a very rough first half, as he picked up a yellow card for pulling down United winger Jesse Lingard. Xhaka also saw himself dominated by Pogba, and quite a few Twitter users are having some fun with this. Here are some of the more entertaining Tweets:
Xhaka couldn't lead a Macarena never mind a Premier League football team.

Xhaka gets his booking. Who had 24th minute in the sweepstakes?
Not me sadly. But I have 37th min for his first shot wildly off target. Still hope.
