It’s another international break and thus, kind of a slow time when it comes to big headlines, but there’s still a whole lot of important Manchester United news items out there.
Here are links to some of the more relevant United news stories currently circulating on the internet.
-Earlier today, we saw multiple reports indicating that Manchester United would let Zlatan Ibrahimovic out of his current contract early and let him move on to American Major League Soccer. Since those reports have been circulating, we now have confirmation from United that Ibra has been released from his contract, and his deal terminated.
As the day progressed we also learned that Ibrahimovic has signed with the L.A. Galaxy per the Los Angeles Times

This situation is somewhat similar to last season, right around this time, when United let Bastian Schweinsteiger get out of his contract early, and head to MLS; where he was given a grand hero’s welcome with the Chicago Fire.
-Jose Mourinho went on CNN to say that he totally understands the frustrations of United supporters, but he doesn’t understand the criticism.

“I understand the frustration, I understand the sadness of being knocked out in the Champions League, but I don’t understand anything more than that,” Mourinho told CNN Sport’s Amanda Davies Wednesday after managing Usain Bolt in the Match of Friendship in Basel during the international break.
What a perfect transition to the next and final item. Usain Bolt, the fastest man alive, is a long time die hard United supporter desperate to get a chance to wear a United shirt someday. He’s currently set to trial with Borussia Dortmund tomorrow, and given how the tryout goes with BVB, perhaps later get a chance with United.
Usain Bolt is also scheduled to take part in the Soccer Aid charity match at Old Trafford this June.
Usain Bolt admits that he’s already pitched Mourinho on the possibility of signing him.
“I’ve definitely asked him for a spot on the team, but as I said, I just want to wait until after the trials to really push and to really pressure,” Bolt is quoted in Talk Sport.
“It’s something I said to him, and he said, ‘If you’re serious, we’ll see what happens,’ so let’s see what happens.”
