Louis van Gaal held his weekly press conference this morning previewing Manchester United’s away trip to Preston North End for the next round of the FA Cup. United are now the overwhelming favorites to win the world’s oldest football tournament, but Van Gaal was the recipient of some criticism from club legend Paul Scholes.
The legendary member of the famed Class of ’92 said the team didn’t take enough risks and not playing in the ‘traditional United way.’ Many football pundits across the board have accused the team of having boring form lately.
Louis van Gaal would not be drawn into a beef or a feud though. When asked about this today by a reporter, Van Gaal said: “I don’t worry about that, it is not so interesting. I think because Paul Scholes is one of our friends I hope, he may criticism, friends can criticize us, that is not the problem.
“I am used to that and all the players are used to that because they are not for the first time professional football players.
“Maybe some players it affects, but normally it does not affect the players and me neither.”
So in other words, haters gonna hate hate hate, so shake it off, shake it off, off off.
