Jose Mourinho Gives Paul Pogba Injury Update in News Conference

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is obviously out for the Southampton clash tomorrow, and his long term status remains up in the air. United Manager Jose Mourinho gave his weekly news conference a couple hours ago (video here), but he did not offer any time table on Pogba’s comeback from a hamstring injury.

“I have no idea,” Mourinho responded to a query on the topic.

“No idea. But, again, it’s a great opportunity for other players to play and I trust them all, so I’m not going to cry or be counting the days until Pogba comes back, not at all.

“When he comes back, welcome, but until then, I trust my people.”

Pogba did post another dance party video of himself on Instagram Wednesday night before United beat Burton Albion FC in the League Cup round of 32. Given how Pogba was moving in that clip, it appears that he will be back in action sooner rather than later.

A past report claiming that Paul Pogba would be out for 12 weeks was condemned by Mourinho as ‘nonsense’ this past weekend. Go here for the full injury report for this match.

Even without Paul Pogba, United are massive favorites in their weekend trip to Southampton tomorrow.
