Dr. Dre receives signed Man United shirt as 50th birthday gift

The lyrics of Dr. Dre have something in common with the transfer spending on Manchester United Executive Vice President Ed Woodward.

“Spend a mil no sweat, water my lawn with Moet,” Dr. Dre told us in 1990s hit “Been There, Done That.”

Dre then added “hella swiss or mozzarella, pockets swella, getting money like a bank teller.” It’s an adequate description of the money United has been throwing around in the transfer market lately. Today we found that Dre is the latest in a long line of Red Devils supporters.

The native of Compton, California, legal name Andre Young received a red United kit with “Andre” on it for his 50th birthday.

This all came together because a Manchester film director was invited to Dre’s birthday party, reports the Manchester Evening News.

United’s official website has the full story of how Dr. Dre came to own his new United shirt. You can read that at this link.
