When asked about a potential move to Arsenal FC in the summer Javier Hernandez, a.k.a. Chicharito, refuses to rule it out and remained coy. He gave us the “we’ll see,” and “you never know.” The former Manchester United and current Bayer Leverkusen striker has 19 goals in 22 appearances with the Bundesliga club.
He was never given regular first team opportunities at Old Trafford, but once he made the move to the German top flight regained his form and really found his stride.
Hernandez has taken home two Player of the month awards this season.
When asked about a potential move to Arsenal, Chicharito said “We’ll see, you never know what happens.”
“I’m glad and happy to be part of this great club. In this sport, it does not matter whether you sign a contract for 10 years or 10 times prolong by one year. In six months, everything can again be different.”
“You look at my last three years in which I have played for Real Madrid, Manchester United and now Leverkusen. It is my goal now to play a very good second half,” he added while participating in the Florida Cup tournament with his team.
Just two weeks ago we saw reports in Spain saying that Gunners star Alexis Sanchez has pleaded with Arsene Wenger to bring the Mexican international back to the Premier League. On the other hand though, Bayer boss Rudi Voller has said that Chicharito is not for sale.
