You don’t have to be a social scientist to realize that Liverpool pulled off a total heist when they bought Mohamed Salah from AS Roma this past summer for £37.8 million. Just how spectacular of a deal was it for Liverpool to invest in the Egyptian winger though?

Well according to the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) report, the Reds forward has seen his transfer value rise by over 84% since arriving on Merseyside. In the sixth months that he’s been at Anfield, his value has increased from 88.1 million Euro to 162.8. That’s what scoring at will do!

Salah is currently tied with Harry Kane for the Premier League lead in goals scored (24). Across all competitions, “The Pharaoh” has an incredible 32 goals. The CIES is an independent study centre located in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. It was created in 1995 as a joint venture between FIFA, the University of Neuchâtel, the City and State of Neuchatel.
