Liverpool FC vs Red Star Belgrade Injury Report: Mane, Keita, Henderson, Savic

Liverpool FC are looking for a response after dropping their second UEFA Champions League group stage fixture at Napoli. Now comes match day three of their European campaign, a home date versus Red Star Belgrade. Facing a weaker opponent and receiving a fitness boost from one of their top weapons, you got to like the Reds chances here.

Forward Sadio Mane is that aforementioned convalescing player, as he missed the 1-0 win over Huddersfield Town due to surgical repair of the broken thumb he suffered while on international duty. He’ll back in contention for this one.

Also, Roberto Firmino only saw substitute minutes over the weekend, as he was rested following an international break that saw him log some crazy frequent flyer miles.

Now Mohamed Salah should have both of his leading the line mates back with him on Wednesday night. In the Saturday clash against the Terriers, it mostly just him in the strike force.

The midfield though is a much different story. Naby Keita remains out due to a hamstring issue. Also, Captain Jordan Henderson is a doubt, after he subbed off at half-time, following complaints of a tight hamstring.

On the other side, Red Star will probably be without their captain after Vujadin Savic, after he was taken off at half time against Paris Saint-Germain and has not played a minute since.

Filip Stojkovic is also a doubt.
