The mid November international break is certainly the perfect time to talk some transfer rumors, as the January window will be here before you know it. Today we focus on Liverpool FC, and this post has a “Heya BVB” theme. We begin with Hoffenheim midfielder Kerem Demirbay.
According to EuroSport, Jurgen Klopp is looking at potentially acquiring Demirbay in January, as the Reds boss knows him well from his days at Borussia Dortmund. Demirbay, who offers a lot of versatility at the position, was a youth-team player at BVB.
The Daily Express also claims that Klopp has been monitoring the progress and development of the 25-year-old.
In staying with youngsters that Klopp knows well from his days leading the black and yellows, it appears that the incessant transfer speculation surrounding Christian Pulisic was all sizzle and no steak; at least for the upcoming window.
“We are planning with him at least until the end of the season,” Dortmund Sporting Director Michael Zorc said of the American wunderkid in an interview with German magazine Kicker.
“We will need Christian significantly.”
Pulisic, under contract until 2020, is also a target of Chelsea. I guess we’ll just have to revisit this one in the summer. No, check that, I KNOW we’ll be revisiting this one in the summer.
Finally, we conclude the all current or former BVB player edition of Liverpool transfer talk with the revisiting of uber expensive Barcelona man Ousmane Dembele.
If he is to move on, not many clubs can afford him, but Liverpool is one with the requisite resources. They are supposedly the front-runner to get the France international, who would carry a price tag north of €100 million (£88.7 million).
That’s according to Sport, a Catalonian outlet who claim Barca are very unimpressed with Dembele’s attitude right now.
The Catalan club have reportedly told him that if he doesn’t shape up, he’ll be shipped out.
However, any potential sale wouldn’t be made until the summer transfer window.
