There was a very scary moment tonight in the international friendly between the United States and France that resulted in a 1-1 draw. USA and Chelsea man (currently on loan with Vitesse) Matt Miazga had a nasty head to head challenge with France and Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud on an early second-half corner.
The collision left both men bleeding very heavily and forced them off the pitch. It was a scary scene, and you can watch video of the incident below:

Erik Palmer-Brown came on for Miazga, while Ousmane Dembélé replaced Giroud.
Giroud needed six stitches to cover up the gash above his eye, while Stars and Stripes manager Dave Sarachan later indicated that Miazga required 15 stitches to close the cut, but did not suffer a concussion.
The World Cup warm up match in Lyon was attended by 58,241. Julian Green provided the only scoring for the Americans, while Kylian Mbappe netted the only French goal.
