Chelsea FC forward Diego Costa will be dropped for Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Leicester City tomorrow.ย The Chelsea and Spain striker is reportedly got into a heated argument with a member of the coaching staff, and that escalated into problems with Manager Antonio Conte.
Apparently, the polarizing forward isn’t won’t even be traveling to Leicester, and he may not even feature again for the Blues. Costa has been offered an outrageous deal, ยฃ500,000 per week, $36,000,000 per year by the Chinese super league, and since he became aware of such an offer, he has refused to train properly.
According to ESPN FC Diego Costa:
“instead trained alone at Cobham for the past three days after becoming embroiled in a heated argument with a fitness coach over an injury, following which Conte got involved and decided to punish his striker after siding with his staff in the dispute.”
Diego Costa has certainly had plenty of problems getting along with others during his time with the Blues. We just saw him have an extremely heated exchange with teammate Pedro on the pitch recently.
He also couldn’t really coexist well with previous manager Jose Mourinho, as he once through a bib at him during a game last season.ย It will be interesting to see this all plays out. The next chapter in this soap opera commences tomorrow when the two most recent league champions will clash tomorrow at the King Power Stadium.
