Chelsea FC have been dominant, extremely dominant, since they lost 3-0 at Arsenal way back in September. The Blues have only lost just one Premier League game in their last 21, and currently sit a top the table by 10 points. They have won 21 of their 27 PL fixtures this season, with 11 remaining.
If they run the table, they would end the season with an astounding 99 points, which is four more than the current record, which they also currently hold the 2004-05 championship season.
Chelsea FC Manager Antonio Conte said after his side’s 3-1 win at West Ham United today:
“For me 11 games are a lot. Now, this period is very important to relieve the pressure in the right away. When you play the game after, you know your opponent won the game the day before. I am pleased for the commitment, the right mentality of my players. Very focused.”
He also said that his team must keep their anger and fight and will in order to stay on top of the Premier League.
“They showed me great will to win the game and to suffer in the first half but stayed compacted but didn’t concede great chances to West Ham. Then we scored the goal, controlled the game. In some situations it is better to score more when you have the chances to better the result. I am very happy for the game because today it was.”
Chelsea FC can also set the record total BPL wins in a season with 32; should they win the rest of their remaining games.
