The future of Arsene Wenger at The Emirates is still up in the air. No one really knows what’s going to happen with the very long tenured Arsenal Manager come May, but Wenger himself, by his action following the 5-1 loss to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League, does seem to convey a sense of inner turmoil.
We have no idea whether or not this indicates his imminent termination or not. We just know that his blaming the officials signifies that he’s proverbially losing his grip.
Following a 10-2 aggregate destruction at the hands of Bayern, and thus elimination from Champions League, Wenger is doing whatever he can to try to deflect the blame away from himself by any means necessary. This time he chose to blame the officials.
This comes on a day in which the fans took grassroots action against him. There were massive protests in defiance of his very continued employment by the club. #WengerOut is as strong as it’s ever been.
The group of fans gathered around 6 p.m. local time outside the old Highbury stadium and marched holding banners reading “No new contract” and “Every story has an ending,” while chants included: “Arsene Wenger, we want you to go.”…
…..One sign held up by a fan read “Stubborn, stale, clueless” while another read “Enough is enough.”

Is this the end of the Arsene Wenger era? We shall soon see, but this we do know- supporter sentiment calling for his ouster is stronger than it has ever been.
