Fox Sports will honor the American Military this Memorial Day weekend with a series of vignettes entitled “Warriors Among Us,” running across the many Fox Sports networks including Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports Regional Networks this holiday weekend.

“Warriors Among Us” profiles a a select group of young soldiers who passed away, either giving their lives while serving in the military or who died tragically upon returning to civilian life. Each vignette offers viewers brief biographical information, including the soldiers’ connection to sports, as well as photos depicting them before, during, or after their service in the American military.

“We wanted to personalize these tributes to allow the audience to get to know them just little a bit,” said Mike Connelly, senior vice president and executive producer, Fox Sports Regional Networks. “We wanted to put a face to a name and remind viewers that these heroes were exceptional in their service to our country, but in other ways were normal like everyone else. Truly, warriors among us.”

The vignettes begin airing yesterday and continue through Memorial Day. This is the holiday weekend to contemplate the American military and all the sacrifices they make. Let’s remember, and pat homage to the men and women of the American military for all that they do.
