Penn State players defecting en masse

Four Penn State players are gone. Redshirt safety Tim Buckley transferred to NC State. He was the first. Then came star tailback Silas Redd who rushed for over 1200 yards last year. He’s now a USC Trojan.

Junior TE Kevin Haplea is expected to transfer to Florida State. Only had 3 catches, and 1 TD but was an integral part of their blocking scheme.

QB Rob Bolden is transferring to LSU finally. Joe Paterno wouldn’t release him from his scholarship, even though Bolden was TERRIBLE during his days in State College, he was even worse than Matt McGloin. Bolden is supposed to have loads of potential though- I guess.

WR Justin Brown is in talks with Oklahoma.

They just lost recruit Khairi Fortt. And then there are the players the Illini are looking to poach. Eight Illinois coaches were in Happy Valley recruiting the team, so we’ll see who jumps to Champaign and Tim Beckman.

And I for one am enjoying this is, because of the arrogance at which PSU has handled all the penalties. And the denial by them, trying to downplay the severity of penalties. 3,000 fans showed up to watch the team begin training camp today. DUMB.

Also, the “us against the world mentality” found in the statements by the alums, players, coaches. They did this to themselves. So all that bullshit you heard at media day about so many players staying put and that they are all one big happy family- total lies.

Makes it enjoyable to laugh at them
