At this point Johnny Manziel must be really insouciant, really dumb, or getting some really poor advice. We all live in the fish bowl now, everyone knows that. Everywhere you go, everyone has a camera and/or video capabilities. You are being watched; and not just by the NSA reading your emails or the TSA going through your phone records.
Johnny Manziel seems to be an idiot on Twitter. At times, he acts like an overall idiot. I don’t think more than half the stuff that’s considered “controversial” which he does is actually bad. Everyone parties it up at age 20. Everyone wants to go drinking and get wild and get laid in their 20s. There’s nothing wrong with that. However, everyone knows that boozing is illegal when you’re under 21 and you do your best not to get caught. Johnny Manziel knows that everything he does is being watched; MUCH MORE so than everyone else. Yet he continues to act like this.
So Johnny Manziel could be pretty dumb.
Like Devin Hester or Garrett Graham level dumb. At least Johnny can form a complete sentence. I can’t say the same for those other two. The stereotype of the dumb jock, especially the quarterback being kind of stupid certainly applies here. Manziel has had numerous life lessons and teachable moments.
And just released yesterday, According to the staff of The Eagle, he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge for failing to identity himself to police during a fight that led to his arrest in June of 2012. Even though the charges mandate jail time, he will remain a free man. Johnny Manziel will not go back to jail.
Manziel accepted a plea agreement that will have him pay the maximum $2,000 fine, spend two days in jail and pay $232 in court fees. Brazos County Attorney Rod Anderson dismissed the charge, along with the Class C misdemeanor of disorderly conduct by fighting.
