North Carolina Tar Heels to add needed size with Isaiah Hicks

Roy Williams went with a largely small lineup down the stretch for the North Carolina Tar Heels. During the end of the college basketball season, Williams didn’t play as many bigs, because he didn’t have much depth up front. He will now with the addition of McDonald’s All-Americans Kennedy Meeks and Isaiah Hicks. I had a video exclusive Isaiah Hicks at McDAAG media day. We discussed the Carolina-Duke rivalry among other topics.

Isaiah Hicks is from Oxford, N.C. (Yes, he talked about how no one knows where that is) who went to Webb High School. Isaiah Hicks is a Power Forward who signed with North Carolina  on 08/08/2011. Isaiah Hicks choose the Tar Heels over Xavier.

Isaiah Hicks will make an impact at both ends of the court, with his length and athleticism. He has quite a “wingspan” (to use Jay Bilas’s all-time favorite word) and is a good finisher at the rim. One of the YouTube commenters thinks Isaiah Hicks looks like former Tar Heels big John Henson. I’ll let you decide.
