Both this year, and next the Final Four will be in the Durty South.
The NCAA and the Atlanta Local Organizing Committee unveiled the logo for the 2013 Final Four today. It will be the 75th anniversary of the Final Four, and the fourth time that the climax of March Madness will be held in Atlanta.
Georgia Tech will be the host institution and the Georgia Dome the venue, with two national semifinal games on April 6th, 2013 and the national championship April 8th. Atlanta previously hosted the Final Four in 1977, when Marquette won the national championship inside The Omni, and at the Georgia Dome in 2002 and 2007, when the Maryland Terrapins and Florida Gators won national titles.
The Georgia Dome is also the site for the 2012 South Regional, next March 23 and 25 and it’s the 20th time Atlanta has hosted the Division I Menโs Basketball Championship.
