Christian Pulisic Continues Hot Streak, Breaks Record

Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic might be the best overall player since the restart of the Premier League. It’s either him or Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

He once again either scored, assisted or won a penalty that was converted into a score as Chelsea won at Crystal Palace today 3-2. Eden Hazard who? Yes, the 21-year-old American is providing productivity and efficiency on the wing as he’s now scored six away goals in league play this season.

Liverpool Starting XI Prediction at Brighton & Hove Albion

When Manchester City beat Liverpool last week it closed the gap between first and second place to a margin that was less than 22 points. That’s the magic number, set in 2017-18, when City finished first, and their neighbors United were the closest competitor, way down in second place.

Since the second and final Liverpool-City meeting of the season, the margin has now gone back up to 23, and with five games to go, we’ll see if the Reds nab this record as well. They may not, as manager Jurgen Klopp looks set to keep giving youth players more chances down the stretch here.

Liverpool FC Team News vs Brighton: Robertson, Milner, Lovren

andrew robertson

Liverpool FC are now on a quest to join 2018-19 Manchester City, and become just the second Premier League side to hit the century mark in season points. They just need 11 more out of the 15 possible remaining, and they’ll get there. Manager Jurgen Klopp says he’s not interested in breaking records, but c’mon, you know how competitive both he and his team really is.

If they win four more times, they’ll set the new benchmark for season points. Up next is a trip to the Amex Stadium, where they’ll face lower table Brighont & Hove Albion. The odds are definitely with the Reds on this one.

Chelsea FC Debuting New ’20-’21 Sky Blue Road Kit (Photos)

chelsea fc

Last week, when Chelsea debuted their new home blue kit, emblazoned with the number 3 on the front, the product rollout didn’t go so well. Regardless of what you think of that shirt and its design, the club lost 3-2 to relegation fodder West Ham United while premiering the shirts.

It was just too easy for everyone to make the same “how many goals are you going to concede today?” joke. The 3 is for new shirt sponsor Three UK, a telco giant, but it’s strange seeing a number on both the front and back of a strip. That will take some getting used to, to say the least.
