Manchester City cruised to the fourth round of the FA Cup as they beat Birmingham City 3-0. One player who was expected to start, but missed out was Argentine forward Sergio Aguero and Pep Guardiola explained the reasons for his absence after the game.

City found new goal scorers in the form of Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden. The former had a double brace in the first 15 minutes and the latter scored one to make it three nil. From the first minute, they never looked like they would lose control of the game as they had a very comfortable overall outing.

Manchester City made it to the final of the EFL Cup as they overcame their local rivals Manchester United. This is their fourth consecutive final in the competition and it was deemed as an impressive achievement by manager Pep Guardiola, per Sky Sports via Goal.

Despite United putting out a strong team, City were able to deal with any danger that came their way. Goals from John Stones and Fernandinho were enough to secure the win and send them to the final where Tottenham Hotspur will be waiting for them.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says he’ll be limited in his team selection when his side faces intracity rival Manchester United tomorrow. It’s a Manchester derby EFL Cup clash, in the semifinal round, where the winner will take on Tottenham Hotspur in the final on April 25.

Zack Steffen Almost Gets Clean Sheet for City in League Debut

With Manchester City No. 1 Ederson currently isolating due to COVID protocols, City’s No. 2, Zack Steffen, got the call today in between the sticks. It was the Premier League debut for the 25-year-old American who came oh so close to accomplishing a clean sheet.

It would have matched the clean sheet he accomplished in his Champions League debut. Steffen, in his fifth appearance with the club, didn’t really have to do a whole lot, as his teammates in front of him really took care of business.
