Jamie Carragher Supports Liverpool Bringing Back Philippe Coutinho

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher would support the idea of his former club bringing back winger Philippe Coutinho. The Brazilian left Anfield in a very ugly, long protracted transfer saga, signing with Barcelona for £105 million (which in add-ons rose to £142m) in January of 2018.

Unfortunately for Coutinho and Barca, he’s been a flop at the Camp Nou, and he has not come even remotely close to loving up to his hefty price tag. He had a truly dismal showing against the Reds in both legs of their UCL semifinal tie defeat, and that, reportedly, was the final straw in terms of sealing his exit.

raheem sterling

Manchester City star Raheem Sterling, who enjoyed three productive years with Liverpool before moving to the Etihad in 2015, grew up a supporter of a different northwest England club. Ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup final against Watford, Sterling admitted he grew up a Red Devils fan, and he was at the 2007 FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium, where he saw MUFC fall to Chelsea. jurgen klopp

Jurgen Klopp led Liverpool FC to 97 points this season, but it was only good enough for a 2nd place finish in the 2018/19 Premier League. That’s because Manchester City, who successfully defended their league title, finished with 98.
