20/21 Liverpool FC Premier League Season Preview

After 30 long years, Liverpool finally won the league title again; lifting the Premier League trophy for the first time ever, capping off the 2019/20 season.

They have had little time to fully enjoy the triumph however, with the new campaign starting just 51 days after team captain Jordan Henderson hoisted the trophy in the Kop in the season’s penultimate game.

Bayern Munich Want Man United to Trigger Thiago Bidding War with Liverpool

Bayern Munich central midfielder Thiago Alcantara has been strongly linked with Liverpool FC this summer, and on occasion mentioned in transfer gossip columns with Manchester United. Bayern boss Hansi Flick has confirmed that Thiago is on his way out, but where he goes next is far from decided.

Out of contract and available on a free next summer, the Bavarian giants are hoping to get full market value for the 29-year-old Spaniard. That seems at least difficult, if not impossible, given the current transfer window market and conditions.

Arsenal FC Team News for Community Shield vs Liverpool

Saturday brings the Community Shield when Liverpool FC (Premier League champions) will go against Arsenal FC(FA Cup winners) at Wembley Satdium in London. It’s the fourth all-time in the Community Shield meeting between the two sides, and a trophy is indeed at stake.

It’s the 2020/21 campaign curtain raiser, some say. Others call it a preseason match, while others still refer to it as a glorified friendly. The Reds will be playing in this match for the second-straight time while Arsenal are making their fourth appearance in seven seasons.

Liverpool FC Starting XI Prediction, Team News for the Community Shield


Premier League champions Liverpool will kick off the 2020/21 campaign Saturday in the Community Shield against Arsenal at Wembley. Saturday’s meeting will be the fourth all-time in the Community Shield between the two big clubs, and first since 2002.

The Reds will be playing in the match for the second-straight season after losing to Manchester City in penalties a season ago. Liverpool will be seeking their 16th Community Shield, but first since 2006.

Liverpool FC Transfer Talk: Thiago Alcantara, Adama Traore

Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara is reportedly being targeted by Liverpool, but the two sides are still far from agreement on a transfer price. Bayern Munich want £27.2m (€30m) for the 29-year-old Spaniard, who has one year left on his deal.

Alcantara, who is also wanted by Arsenal, was the subject of a really funny exchange at the Champions League postmatch press conference. After claiming the glorious trophy, Bayern boss Hansi Flick was asked by a reporter: “You had a long chat with Thiago after the ceremony. Was this maybe his last match for Bayern?”

Arsenal Reportedly Join Liverpool in Thiago Alcantara Pursuit

One of the biggest names linked with a potential move to Liverpool FC this summer transfer window is Bayern Munich central midfielder Thiago Alcantara. At the end of last month some reports even went so far as to say that Anfield had already agreed to personal terms with the 29-year-old Spanish international.

Well, not so fast, as the Daily Mail reports Arsenal are now interested in potentially pursuing Alcantara as well. However, the £23 million asking price is potentially too high for both clubs.

Chelsea FC Open at Brighton, Host Liverpool in Week Two

The 2020-21 fixture list is out at Chelsea FC now know their first opponent- Brighton and Hove Albion. After visiting the Seagulls in matchday one things ramp up rather quickly in matchday two when they’ll visit reigning champions Liverpool FC, who won the league by a very considerable margin.

The Blues will be hoping to have emerging star and wing player extraordinaire Christian Pulisic back for the Reds tilt. The Pennsylvanian Messi suffered a hamstring injury in the FA Cup final loss to Arsenal, and his timeline for return is still not known as of now.

The inaugural Premier League Young Player of the Season Award winner was announced today, and it’s Liverpool right back Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The Reds fullback, who is also up for the Premier League Player of the Season Award, beat out the seven other players on the short list, including Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic, who might just develop into the greatest American footballer of all-time.

Liverpool FC’s Home Stadium, Anfield is a Must See, even for Rivals


Liverpool has been playing at Anfield since its inception in 1892. Anfield was built in 1884 on the land near Stanley Park, originally used by Everton. They left the estate in 1892, then Anfield owner John Houlding decided to set up a new team to play on this field. The capacity of the field was about 20,000 at that time, although only about 100 fans attended Liverpool’s first match at the field.

Christian Pulisic Finalist for Young Player of the Year Award

Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic was one of the best players in the Premier League, out of the restart, and as such he’s been rewarded by being named to Young Player of the Year short list.

Although Pulisic missed a significant amount of time due to an adductor injury suffered on New Year’s Day, and he struggled at first to get a regular place in Frank Lampard’s first team, the American has overall enjoyed a quite superlative first season in the Premier League.
