Chicago Bears get three Monday Night games on their schedule

If you want to pick the Chicago Bears to lose a game, take a Monday Night Football road game in December. Forget the myth about “Bear Weather,” Chicago is just not very good in the late season when it’s cold, and pretty awful on Monday night- usually. Only one of their three MNFers is late in the year however, Nov. 19th at San Francisco. (Cue the memories of the 1984 and 1988 NFC title games).

The other two Monday nighters are October 1st at Dallas and October 22nd versus the Detroit Lions.

Jay Cutler and company get to warm up right- they host the Indianapolis Colts in week one. There’s nothing quite like having the NFL’s worst team at your place in week one to kind of extend your preseason and ease into 2012. Don’t strain yourself! It’s kind of like when they often would open with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 80s and early 90s, in the days before massive parity, and the Buccos were the Suckos.

The Bears will battle once on NBC Sunday night, November 11th versus the Houston Texans.
