Hope Solo Deemed “Too Muscular” for Dancing with the Stars

You may wonder why U.S. women’s soccer goalkeeper Hope Solo was so whiny and complainy after being cut during the semi-final round of “Dancing with the Stars.” Her Q Rating suffered greatly as she came off as a sore loser. She told Anderson Cooper some of the reasons why.

“I was told I had too much muscle and I was too intense and wasn’t very dainty,” Solo told Cooper. “Well, hello–you cast a female professional athlete. Help me get better as a dancer.”

She makes some valid points. You can see her body’s muscle mass in the Body Issue. Or in this video game ad.

From the New York Daily News:

The 5’9 soccer star, who helped her team land a second place finish at the 2010 Women’s World Cup, had more than one controversial moment throughout the season and was often the subject of harsh criticism from DWTS judges.

During the competition, Solo, 30, wasn’t shy expressing her frustration with her scores — at one point telling judges they could “kiss my booty” after receiving a slew of 7s.

Way to show your appreciation for Solo taking time out of her busy schedule to do DWTS! She even missed a Team USA international friendly match with Sweden to do the reality show competition.

There is certainly a silver lining in this- now I can go back to not caring about this stupid reality show. Or make that- with her eliminated, I can go back to not pretending to care about this dumb reality show.

See many more pics of Solo, and her “too muscular” body here She looks good in her SportsCenter ad too.

And of course, our Alex Morgan and Hope Solo greatest posts collection.
