Manchester City No. 1 Ederson missed out on his side’s 2-1 win over Brighton on Saturday due to tiredness. So apparently, his absence was just precautionary/part of squad rotation ahead of the next big match, which will come on the continent.

Ederson is expected to be fully fit for the trip to Switzerland, to take on Young Boys in the UEFA Champions League group stage.

Otherwise you still have all-world midfielder Kevin De Bruyne on the shelf until early 2024. And that is it for City, when it comes to fitness issues. Pep Guardiola’s side had a rash of injuries earlier this month, but they are back to nearing full strength right now.

Shifting over to Young Boys, they can match Man City in being a very healthy side, with only one confirmed injury absentee here.

Kastriot Imeri is still a few weeks away from returning to action as he continues convalescing from a knee injury.
