Man United Transfer Talk: Tielemans, Lukaku, Skriniar, Wan-Bissaka, Zaha

The rebuild of Manchester United could definitely take some time, so get ready and dig your heels in for that. The upshot is that we’ll have a summer transfer window filled with many comings and goings. And with Manchester United linked to approximately 97,324 players already, the time is right for some Red Devils transfer talk.

In today’s edition we cover a swap deal, another one with an add-on clause plot twist and we get things start with the latest on want away striker Romelu Lukaku.

There had been reports that Lukaku and Inter had reached an agreement in principle, but that turned out to be fake news; extremely fake news.

New manager does Antonio Conte does indeed want to make the big Belgian his first signing at Inter, but there’s a long way to go until this deal gets done.

Lukaku cost United a very pretty penny in 2017, and the club’s higher-ups are trying to recoup as much of that money as they can. Big, expensive deals often take longer to complete too.

Inter reportedly offered long-time United target Ivan Perisic as part of a potential swap deal, but Old Trafford said no. According to Correire dello Sport, United’s counter-proposal included Milan Skriniar going the other way, but the Serie A side has kaput that concept. Sports Mole has more at this link.

Next we turn to the latest on Aaron Wan-Bissaka transfer saga.

With the two clubs still miles apart on sale price, but United extremely interested, Palace are reportedly looking to leverage that interest into getting United to remove the 20% sell-on clause that they added when they sent Wilfried Zaha back to Selhurst Park in 2015.

United could potentially net as much as £16 million if the south London club were able to find a buyer willing to meet their £80m valuation for the winger.

The Guardian has much more over at this link.

Finally, Harry Maguire isn’t the only Leicester City player that United are after this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, Old Trafford are also reviving interest in £40 million rated midfielder Youri Tielemans, as a potential replacement for Paul Pogba, should the Frenchman move on.
